I have been doing some test with this Telit LE70-868 click. Most of the users of this click says that this module's range is around 4km. I am got a maximum range of around 600m in an open field.
How did you get 4km range? One of the modules was in a tower or something like this? What config register's values did you use?

I measure the output power of my modules when the registers were set to deliver 27dBm, I got around 21dBm.

Hi,

The range is dependent mainly on the antenna.
Can you tell me which antenna are you using with the click board ?

Best Regards,

Hi Dusan,

Thanks for your answer. I am using a 868Mhz rubber antenna with right angle sold with the click.

What antenna do you recommend?

I've just done a similar test and got around 500m in Open space. I too am using the 90 degree rubber antenna supplied by MikroE.
How did you get 4km?

Hi,
Many factors can effect the range of modules.
I could only recommend you to ask Telit if they have some documentation available on maximizing the range with LE70-868 module.

Kind regards,
Petar

Thanks, I've bought a 868Mhz tester and a range of antennas to try. I'll let you know if I get some better results..

Many factors can effect the range of modules, and the range is dependent mainly on the antenna.
